New Charges Related to Attorney’s Murder
ROCKFORD - Diane Chavez now faces tampering charges related to the murder investigation of Rockford attorney Gregory Clark.
Chavez was charged with obstructing justice in the murder case. Now, after a separate investigation, she’s been charged with 10 counts of tampering with public records. Those charges allege documents that went missing from the Illinois Department of Human Services, where Chavez worked, later turned up at her home.
Chavez is a friend of one of Clark’s clients, Richard Wanke, who was questioned in the murder.
