Community Think-Tank to sponsor the town hall forum on divorce
For the community dialogue, a public interest independent of Think-Tank, in collaboration with DePaul University, is hosting a community Town Hall Forum Saturday, January 14, 2006, 1.00-5.00 pm to discuss public policy issues in the context of divorce, common education, domestic violence, and social impact on communities.
Participation in the discussion is the subject of several experts, including Dr. Kirk Harris, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Family Support America, Diane Redleaf, Family Law lawyer and founder of the Centre for the Defence of the family, Michael McCormick , Executive Director of the American Coalition for fathers and children, Dean Tong, nationally recognized forensic expert and consultant for false allegations of abuse; Margaret Stapleton, Senior Attorney, Sargent Shriver National Poverty Law Center and others.
Topics of discussion at issue, divorce, custody, visit parental alienation, domestic violence, violence against women Act legislative initiatives underway and the sharing of parental responsibilities to minimize conflicts.
The debate will be moderated by Dr. Mark Rogers, a clinical psychologist and child expert on duty is also a professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Mr. Rogers is also known for its involvement in the Elian Gonzales.
