Attorney General to prosecute cases of Halle

The Illinois Attorney General’s Office is liable to prosecution if Lake County Chief Circuit Judge David Hall, was arrested last weekend in Vernon Hills and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Lake County State’s Attorney Mike Waller said, he invited the Attorney General’s Office of persecution case to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest.

“As a prosecutor État’s, I have a close collaboration with all chief judges, including justices of the room, and it was simply not suited to my office to manage the case,” said Waller. “We asked the attorney general on the stage and they agreed.”

Halle was in the field of administrative tasks only available to the charges and has a leave from his post as Chief Justice. Acting Chief Judge Christopher Starck has requested that the Illinois Supreme Court appoints a judge from outside the 19th Judicial Circuit to hear the indictment against Hall.

A hearing was held Friday in Lake County Circuit Court before Judge Starck to a request from the defence to Vernon Hills Police Department to keep all evidence in connection with the arrest of Hall.

The hearing on the request was continued until Monday, May 12, because a new judge from outside the province has not yet been appointed to the case.

Defence Minister Jason Mercure defence lawyer said the police denies accounts, the courtroom was uncooperative and resistance against the police, when he pepper sprayed by an officer.

“We did not feel he was allegedly sprayed pepper,” he said.

A police officer arrested Vernon Hills Hall’s car at 1:45 am on Saturday, was heading to the East of Illinois State Route 60 Milwaukee Avenue. Hall was charged, DUI, interference with a police officer, not to stop or yield to a crossroads, and improper use of the runway, Vernon Hills police.

Vernon Hills police reports indicate that Hall’s vehicle was stopped because he was driving illegally, and that Hall was a strong smell of alcohol in his breath. Reports also say that Hall refused to leave the vehicle for use on the field sobriety tests, and tried to resist his arrest by winding window, takes the wheel and rigid while the weapons officer tries to handcuffs.
